Find the Best Time to Book a Bhutan Tour from Mumbai
Summer (June to September): In summer, from June to September, Bhutan is warm and sunny with temperatures between 20 and 25°C. Days are usually sunny but can be humid, and nights are cooler, so bring light woolen clothes or jackets. The scenery is lush and green, and you can enjoy clear views of the snowy Himalayas. This season also features the Haa Festival, which celebrates Bhutanese food and culture. With fewer tourists around, it’s a good time for a peaceful visit.
Autumn (September to November): Autumn, from September to November, is the best time for a Bhutan tour. The weather is pleasant, with daytime temperatures from 10 to 15°C, making sightseeing comfortable. Nights are cool but nice. This season is famous for colorful festivals like the Black-Necked Crane Festival and Paro Tshechu. The monasteries and dzongs are decorated with flags and traditional dances. Since it’s a peak tourist season, book your tour early to get good deals on flights and accommodations.
Winter (December to February): Winter in Bhutan, from December to February, is cold and snowy, especially in high-altitude areas. Temperatures drop significantly, and snow can make travel difficult. However, winter features festivals like the Monggar Tshechu and Trashigang Tshechu. If you enjoy snowy landscapes and winter festivities, this could be a great time for a unique experience, but be ready for the cold and possible travel disruptions.
Spring (March to May): Spring, from March to May, brings Bhutan back to life with blooming Jacaranda and Rhododendron flowers. The weather is mild, with clear skies and little rain, perfect for trekking. Spring also hosts events like the Rhododendron Festival and Paro Tshechu, sometimes with participation from the King of Bhutan. It’s a popular season, so booking early is recommended to avoid peak season rates and secure your flights and accommodations.
In Summary: The best time to book a Bhutan tour from Mumbai depends on your weather preferences, festival interests, and crowd levels. Whether you enjoy summer’s lush landscapes, autumn’s festivals, winter’s snowy beauty, or spring’s blooming flowers, Bhutan offers a unique experience. Booking early, especially during peak times, is advised to get the best deals and ensure a smooth trip.
